KMRC 1430 would like to take this time to remind everyone that the 2007 Hurricane Season is upon us. We would
like to remind you to become prepared now. KMRC will carry live extensive and non-stop coverage of Hurricane Season 2007 if
there is as imminent threat to our region. Our mission here at KMRC is to serve the public during times such as these. Once again,
we at KMRC remind the public to listen to all warnings as well as instructions given out by local, state, and federal officials.
As we all know, hurricanes are a way of life in South Louisiana. We have learned to better prepare for storms that
threaten the Louisiana coast over the past few years. Below is a list of things that you should have in the event
that you decide not to evacuate. KMRC reminds you to please heed the warnings and statements issued by your local
government officials. We have also included a hurricane intensity scale on this page for your information.
These items are suggested but are not necessarily all-inclusive of everything your family needs to prepare for a hurricane or other severe storm situation.
